Is Elarix free?
Yes. Every feature on this page is free, with no paywalls. Premium ($2.99/month per server) only adds extras on top (higher limits, custom branding, music priority) for servers that want to support Elarix.
Will Elarix spam my server when I add it?
No. Elarix joins quietly with every module switched off. Run /setup or open the dashboard and turn on only what you want.
What permissions does Elarix need?
The invite asks only for what Elarix's features use (managing messages, roles and channels for moderation, tickets and self-roles, plus voice for music). You can untick anything for features you won't use.
How do I turn on AI chat?
Grab a free Gemini API key from Google AI Studio, run /ai key in your server, then /ai toggle. Your key is stored encrypted and only powers your server.
Can I manage Elarix from my phone?
Yes. Run /dashboard in Discord and open the private link. The dashboard works on phones, tablets and computers.
What data does Elarix keep?
Only what features need, like settings, levels, warnings and tickets. If you remove Elarix, your server's data is deleted 30 days later. The privacy policy has the details.
Elarix isn't responding to my commands. What's wrong?
First check Elarix is online on the status page. If it is, make sure Elarix can see and send messages in that channel, and that members have the Use Application Commands permission there (channel permissions can turn it off). Elarix only uses slash commands: type / to see them.
Elarix says it can't give or remove a role.
Discord only lets a bot manage roles that are below its own role. Open Server Settings → Roles and drag Elarix's role above the roles you want it to hand out. For safety, Elarix never gives out roles with staff powers (like ban, kick or manage roles) through role buttons, role menus or auto-roles; give those by hand.
How do I play music, and why is it silent?
Join a voice channel, then use /play with a song name or a link. Elarix needs the Connect and Speak permissions in that voice channel. If it joins but stays silent, check it isn't server-muted, and try /music volume. The music guide has more.
Does Elarix record voice chat?
No. The voice assistant is off until a server admin turns it on, and even then Elarix only hears members who opt in with /voice optin. It listens for “Hey Hugo” on its own server and doesn't save recordings or transcripts. Music never listens to anyone.
Can I bring my levels over from another bot?
Yes. /levels import copies members' levels (and, if you want, the role rewards) from another leveling bot, as long as that bot's leaderboard is public. The switching guide walks through it.
I got “This interaction failed”. What happened?
Usually Elarix was restarting for an update, which takes under a minute. Try again shortly. If it keeps happening, check the status page or tell us with /elarix bugreport.
Can I move Premium to another server, or cancel it?
If you subscribed inside Discord, the subscription is yours: activate it in another server with /premium activate (or from the dashboard) and it moves. A card subscription belongs to the server it was bought for; ask in the support server to move it. Cancel anytime: in Discord's settings, or with Manage subscription on the dashboard's Premium page for card subscriptions. Premium stays on until the time you paid for runs out. Can I use Elarix in more than one server?
Yes, in as many servers as you like, all free. Each server has its own settings and dashboard. Premium is per server.
How do I keep my name off a server's public page?
Run /elarix privacy in Discord and press Hide me from public pages. It works for every server at once. If you opted out of activity stats, you're already hidden.
